Tent Camping In the Rain is no Fun!
Tent camping in the rain is no fun! Escaping the rainstorms by staying in a nice hotel room with a hot shower is fun! Tonight we're escaping the cold & moisture in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Today we had rain on and off all day with a high temperature of 55 or so and the wind was really gusty. Taking advantage of the internet access we are tentatively planning out the next few days; the only thing for certain is that we need to be in Prince Rupert, British Columbia by 3pm on July 12th in order to catch our ferry ride to Haines, AK. Tomorrow we plan on heading to Jasper National Park and camping there (fingers crossed for a little less rain). We are interested in visiting Miette hot springs as we enter the park. We'll hopefully be able to do some hiking too but of course it is weather dependent. Tomorrow's area should provide some great nature viewing and sight seeing, so expect more pictures once we get to the mountains. We may not post tomorrow due to lack of internet, but will try again Monday for sure.

Ahhh Prince Rupert--I made that drive once except the other way.. very cool. As I recall there is a potter's studio somewhere near Prince Rupert. Banff is beautiful--course I was there in October with snow on the ground. You are certainly racking up the miles with two drivers. Enjoy the views and occasional don't forget to smell the roses..
